Monica Lam, Ph.D.
Founder and Chief Scientist
Monica Lam is a professor of computer science at Stanford University, joining the faculty in 1988. Her research passion is in making computing and programming easier. She co-authored the latest edition of the Dragon book, and is one of the top-50 most cited computer science researchers in the world. She helped found Tensilica, a leading configurable processor core company, on her last sabbatical in 1998. She holds a doctorate in computer science from Carnegie Mellon University and a bachelor's in computer science from the University of British Columbia.
Vinod Khosla
Founder, Khosla Ventures
Fortune Magazine calls Vinod Khosla one of the most successful venture capitalists of all time, and he was recently labeled as one of the nation's most influential ethanol advocates. Khosla Ventures delivers venture assistance, strategic advice and capital to entrepreneurs determined to build companies with a lasting impact.
Bill Raduchel, Ph.D.
Most recently, Bill Raduchel was the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Ruckus Network bringing a broad range of business experience in the computing, Internet and media industries. Before joining Ruckus Network, Raduchel was Executive Vice President and Chief Technology Officer of AOL Time Warner, Inc. Prior to AOL, Raduchel served as Chief Strategy Officer and an executive committee member for Sun Microsystems, Inc.
Rosemary L. Ripley
Rosemary L. Ripley is a Managing Director of NGEN. In addition to her Board seat at MokaFive, Rosemary currently sits on the boards of Carbonetworks and Flipswap.
Prior to NGEN, Rosemary was a senior executive at Altria Group (previously Philip Morris Companies), where she was responsible for Corporate Business Development worldwide from 1990-2005. She led teams that invested heavily in emerging markets and transformed Kraft Foods with the $19 billion acquisition of Nabisco and subsequent IPO of Kraft Foods. Rosemary also played a key role in transforming Miller Brewing Company into an international enterprise with the merger with South African Breweries.
Prior to joining Altria, Rosemary was a Managing Director at Furman Selz, and a senior investment banker at L.F. Rothschild, Unterberg, Towbin. Previously, she worked for Senator Daniel Patrick Moynihan where she supported the Senator’s work on the Committee for Environment and Public Works.
Rosemary co-founded Circle Financial Group, a multi-family office, and sits on the Advisory Boards of the Chicago Climate Exchange and the Yale Center for Business and the Environment. Rosemary received both her BA, cum laude, and MBA at Yale University.
Corey Mulloy
General Partner, Highland Capital Partners
Corey opened and manages Highland Capital's Menlo Park office. In doing so, he sources and pursues investment opportunities across all of Highland's targeted sectors in the Western US and works across the Highland investment team to evaluate those opportunities. Corey joined Highland in 1997. Corey has worked in corporate development at ONI Systems, an optical networking equipment vendor, which went public in 2000 and was subsequently acquired by CIENA (Nasdaq: CIEN). He also worked at Robertson Stephens & Company in the investment banking group and at The Whitman Group, a start-up company.
Dale Fuller
President & CEO
Dale Fuller is a leading technology executive with extensive experience in starting up and growing both technology and consumer businesses. He is responsible for leading MokaFives's overall strategy and guiding day-to-day operations. He also serves on the boards of Krugle, Phoenix Technologies, AVG, and Quest Aircraft Company. Most recently, he served as interim CEO of McAfee and CEO of Borland, both of which experienced huge shareholder value and revenue gains during his tenure. Dale has a track record of successfully starting companies. He has lead companies through crisis situations and directed turnarounds that resulted in substantial improvements in operational performance and increased shareholder value. In an earlier part of his career, he founded one of the leading community sites on the Internet, WhoWhere, later acquired by Lycos. As a start-up company CEO, Dale led the expansion of numerous domain sites, including Angelfire.com and Mailcity. He is a an active personal investor in approximately 60 different staged start-ups based in Silicon Valley, China, and India. He holds an honorary doctorate from St. Petersburg State University.
